Welcome to Urbs, a travel resource for credible, insightful, and up-to-date information about Europe's enthralling historical sites, wondrous cultural landmarks, unmissable bars and restaurants, and hidden gems found down cobbled streets off the beaten track.

For the past 4 years, we have been working tirelessly to put together the world's finest cultural information. Our team of handpicked historians, art experts, food writers, cultural guides, and travel journalists have researched and written up fascinating (and often untold) stories behind Florence's palazzos, Lisbon's seafront squares, Istanbul's long history, and Paris' famed architecture.

Our Cultural Experts
The Urbs writing team is comprised of over 50 cultural experts, many of whom hold degrees in or teach their particular specialist subject. We spend a great deal of time making sure we have covered each aspect of a city and finding the perfect writers to bring these wonderful places to life with elegant descriptions and intriguing contextual stories.

Our Editorial Process
Our editorial process centres on ensuring that you are getting the most accurate and insightful information possible. Our team of Master's- and PhD-level editors review and fact-check every single sentence. Each description is then reviewed by the Urbs team to ensure there is no overlap between any of our written content. Our historical descriptions all make use of the most up-to-date research as well as primary sources, and none of our information is influenced by advertisers or third-party companies. Our thorough process is very time consuming, but we believe it means our users get access to the best possible cultural content!

Our Policies
At Urbs, we take online privacy seriously and we respect the concerns of our community. We may collect data if you decide to provide that information via our mobile application. However, we do not use this information outside of our own product, nor do we provide any data to third-party companies aside from information used to analyse the performance of our own app.
